Founder & Owner, Prospera Internal Medicine & Aesthetics
Lea Pace is a nationally certified Physician Associate with more than 16 years of experience in medicine and a passion for providing meaningful, inclusive care. She is the founder of Prospera Internal Medicine & Aesthetics in San Diego, a boutique practice offering Concierge Direct Primary Care and advanced aesthetic medicine in a supportive, judgment-free environment.
Lea began her career with a degree in Biological Psychology, working in molecular biology before earning her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies. Over the years, she has built a reputation for her excellence in patient advocacy, preventive health, and medical aesthetics. Her career path has been shaped not only by her clinical expertise but also by deeply personal experiences—navigating self-care, chronic illness, and resilience. These experiences have instilled in her a compassionate, whole-person approach to medicine.
As a healthcare provider, Lea is committed to inclusive care, with special focus on women’s health, LGBTQ+ health, and skin health. She is particularly dedicated to supporting transgender patients, offering complimentary laser hair removal for trans patients as part of her Gender Affirming Care program. Her personal connection to skin health—having lost her father to melanoma—fuels her passion for dermatology, prevention, and skin cancer awareness.
Through Prospera, Lea has created a medical home where patients are seen, heard, and supported. By working outside the constraints of insurance-driven medicine, she is able to spend more time with her patients, provide lifestyle and wellness counseling, and offer advanced treatments that help people thrive both medically and aesthetically.
When she isn’t caring for patients, Lea enjoys meditation, time with her husband and family, and mentoring the next generation of PAs. She is proud to host PA students in clinical rotations and continues to inspire others by living her philosophy: Medicine should not only treat disease but also foster wellness, joy, and quality of life.

Meet Dr. Kalpana Sundar, our Medical Director, who firmly believes that beauty, strength, and confidence emanate from within. With a robust background and extensive expertise as a Board-certified Ear, Nose, and Throat/ Head and Neck surgeon, Dr. Sundar has devoted decades to honing her skills in facial anatomy. She possesses a profound appreciation for the artistry involved in cosmetic enhancements.
